2 days, I think. 1 day to plan it, sketch it, and retrace it all in pencil
another day to ink everything and do final digital touchups. :)

What pens did you use? And what did you use for reference / inspiration pictures.. i can't imagine anyone has an imagination that can make up all of that without looking at anything!? :)

I used those normal disposable fine liners, then some faber castell gray brush pens, then some Kure color (theyre just like copics) :)

most inspiration came from all art inspirations and memory
the part that i really needed a photo for accuracy is the gothic rose window, and the crane piece. the rest, I made up. :)

:o wow; i love that angel With the gas mask xD, no just amazing..and yes! very many detail! i'll never get that patient like u...unfortunately - however - xD
OH; what i just noticed when i wanted to press the 'add comment button...you don't draw a skyline?
Reply
:iconmacdoninri:
MacDoninri Featured By Owner Aug 20, 2011  Hobbyist General Artist
oh yea. 2 years and ive only noticed now. haha, yea, there is no skyline/horizon. mustve been the fog. or sheer distance...

thanks. That angel was supposed to have a veil on his face. when i was inking, i decided to ink a gasmask instead. more fun detailing there. and realistic fabric is hard to draw, i find. :)

XD ...

oh, yea fabrics are difficult to draw...i'll always to want to improve my skills to draw fabrics, but i'll always end up just drawing naked bodies..... probably it's because i'm always thinking about the reason that there are clothes for summer- haha....i would leave to house naked though-

you're studying architecture? you could be as well an art(drawing)-student) - xP (i though first you would be an art student..i searched for art-portfolios.....)

anyway- 21 isn't _that_ old

well, as u say.
But be warned!!! (chrm chrm...). After the end of our conversation u'll have no time left to finish work!
..okay i'll give up..it's unrealistic xD

sorry for talking nonsense, but that's just the time you'll have the best idea for drawing- gg
And especially now i would need a muse 'cause i have to draw a portfolio for uni-entrance-exam- ...i'll probably fail, because if i come through i could begin to study and wouldn't have to end school... funny world...do u think too?

xP

Wow, this is amazing! Everytime I look at it I notice something new! The first thing that came to mind when I saw it was the movie inception, because it looks like I'm taking a look into someone's chaotic mind. You're awesome!
